So Happy New Years!

I hope you all had a good time. I know I did, even if I did sprain my toe and haven't been able to come up with a good story to cover up the actual stupid reason for it. But no worries, by the time school starts back up I will have an amazing one, hopefully.

But anyways I hope this is a good year for all you.

You know you live in Danville when:



- Youve seen the Christmas lights in riverside (it's the town next to danville and seeing those lights is the highlight of christmas time)

-Magic River WAS the coolest place to have your birthday party (a skating rink that closed down from not getting enough bussiness)

-Students and Teachers alike hate the superintendent (they all suck)

-You dont get excited when 6 feet of snow falls on a tuesday night (We get so many snow days we're not out of school until half way through June)

-You're excited to go to lunch to talk to the lunch ladies. (They're the coolest adults in our school and know exactly what is going on with everyone)

-Going to Sheetz is your idea of an eventful afternoon (Yes the gas station and a resturant called Brews are the only cool places in town)

-D-bloc (we like to try and be gangster)

-Youve become used to the droning of Lifeflight and you can always tell who visitors are by how excited they are to see a helicopter (Danville may as well be called Geisinger since the hospital owns most of the town)

-The top news story on Tv is about an Amish buggy flipping over, killing 3 passengers and destroying the delicious bakegoods inside (Sadly this is entirly true)

-You're in walking distance of any given spot in the town (And you can make it there within 20 minutes)

-You think you're a bad-ass for breaking the 11 o'clock curfew. (Although in most parts of town, you want to be in by 11 because of the creeps)

-You get excited when you remember your Giant card and they dont have to get theirs out (I've never been to the grocery store at a time when people remember there discount card)

-Every man for himself in Beaver Place (The ghetto of danville)

-You know Freddy and Larry (Mentally retarded brothers who are at EVERY football game, baseball game, and any other game or event)

- Your town is the reason AmericanEagle and Polo are sucessful companies (It's clone central)

- Same with the Salvation Army (They have some pretty sweet things there)

-You're afraid of the town cop not only because they're cops, but because they all know your parents. (Once again this is true. The town always knows whatever you did, even before you know it sometimes)

-The State Hospital has the best hill in a tri-state area, and youve hit the ramp on the knoll at night by accident (The knoll gets pretty crazy in the winter :])

-The whole town will be at graduation next year, you know, just in case (We're all pretty close and we like to have people dress up in costumes and run across the field during the ceremony. It's the talk of the town for weeks)

-You wave everytime a helicopter goes by on the off chance its Channel 16 (This happens a lot)

-Lewisburg is the older, more loved child, who gets better grades (Lewisburg has everything, we have nothing)

-Harrassing the opposing team is not only justified, its expected. (Even the five year olds do this)

-The 5 page newspaper is about who lost their dog (That or people yelling about the outcome of last week's game)

-A home game is the town meeting (everyone shows up, even if you're sick and it's raining)

-Your parents feel the need to constantly remind you when they were your age, The High School was the Middle School, the Elementary School was the High School, and the Middle School was a damn Iron Mill ( The middle school that was the iron mill is also like the 12th most dangerous school in the country thanks to underground shafts. Yeah we're cool)

-You can name every item on a Chinese Buffet (Fu Star is a must-eat-once-a-month place)

-You scream somthing along the lines of "YEAH SECOND WARD!" whenever you see someone from your neighborhood. (There's like three sections, but basically everyone lives in the second)

-Skaters arent allowed ANYWHERE (Yet they like to be everywhere)

-But kids on bikes are EVERYWHERE (And you have to be careful of them not running into you, since they like to do that)

- You know someone that hunts, you probably hunt too, and you get a day off for it during school (First day of hunting is a state holiday)

-You swear alligance to either Weis or Giant (The only two grocery stores, except some asian one downtown on the weekends)

-You can order pizza every night of the week and not eat at the same place twice (We have a bajillion pizza places, all in the same area)

-Italian restaurants downtown have a lifespan of 2 months (Or less)

-An orange shirt and purple shorts match, and not only on sprit days. (But only in danville, everywhere else it looks pretty gross)

-Everyone knows and loves the giant Dike of the town. (A big mound of dirt that "protects" the town from the floods after winter snow finally melts)

Yep it's official there is nothing to do in Danville, except play man hunt with the whole town as a playing field. That's about it....
